We are proud to present Ondulations: a new take on Bordeaux wines. Ondulations offers a bold, contemporary, velvety profile, a result of aging in jars and amphora that reveal the fruit in its purest form.
Ondulations is the result of a convergence of ideas, a shared disruptive spirit and taste for renewal. Antoine de Oliveira, property manager since the 2010 vintage, and Julien Belle, associate member of the Oenoteam winemaking consultancy, have shaken off traditional codes to create a wine with a velvety texture and a silky touch.
With its soft and irregular undulations, the landscape at Château Hourtou is made up of an inimitable series of curves shaped by nature, layers of slopes soaking up the sun. The natural contours of the Côtes de Bourg appellation have always shaped the region’s characteristically fruity, balanced wines. Taking inspiration from these curves, we have made a wine that is all about nuance.
Renewal is impossible without reassessment. That is why we have made green fertilisers, plant cover and the rejection of chemical weed killers an integral part of our environmental commitments. We are proud to have been certified Terra Vitis since 2013.
Ondulations embodies the rhythm of perpetual convection produced by its amphora and jars. This ancestral method brings out the fullest flavour of the fruit, conserving its freshness. Ondulations offers a unique, original aromatic signature: a flavour profile that is centred on fruit, accessibility and drinkability, with a velvety texture, complexity, and solid structure.
